Sorry I haven't posted for so long! I ended up having surgery this summer, and planning a wedding was insane!
So, Keaton and I have now been married for a little over 2 weeks and everything is amazing! It really hasn't been as much of an adjustment as I assumed it would be! Everything is just a million times better than it was when we were dating/engaged. The wedding went perfectly and we can't wait to see our pictures and video. We live in a cute little house that we are continuing to organize, while trying to catch up on school and working. As you would suspect, life is pretty hectic right now! We are both loving it though. And we are loving adjusting to living together and all of the new experiences.
We went to Vernal this weekend to open our wedding presents and to visit Keaton's parents. We received so many amazing presents which we are so grateful for! We now officially have everything we need to start our lives together. We want to thank everyone for being so loving and generous. We cannot thank everyone enough!
A typical night for Keaton and me usually consists of making dinner together, watching our favorite TV shows or a movie, doing dishes together, saying our bedtime prayers and talking for long periods of time. I have never been happier. Life has been very hectic since we got home from our honeymoon and I love that we are finally back to normal and back in the swing of things.
I will continue to update now, as I have a little more time! We will let you know exciting things that are going on in our lives :]

Shelly: The countdown begins! 76 days!
SEVENTY-SIX DAYS!!!
Keaton and I will be getting married in only 76 days! That is so crazy. September 1st keeps getting closer and closer.
WEDDING UPDATE!
-We picked out our menu! So exciting. We will have three options: a vegetarian dish, a chicken dish, and a pork dish. Yum!
-I am excited that we are having a smaller luncheon just for family and close friends. It makes it more quaint and more special.
-We also started planning out how the day will go, so we can give everyone an itinerary.
-My wedding dress will be altered soon! It will be done sometime in August. Can't wait to try it on again.
LIFE UPDATE!
Keaton and I went to San Diego last weekend for my bridal shower! What a wonderful time. We spent good time with my family and I missed them all so much. It was also really great for them to get to know Keaton a lot better. They all seemed to approve, which is definitely a good thing ;] The bridal shower was a blast. I received so many wonderful gifts and spent quality time with some quality people! Haha.
This weekend, Keaton and I took a trip to Vernal for Father's Day. We spent a lot of time with his dad, and worked on the farm a little as well. Gotta love all the little lambs! So cute.
I am so ready for these 76 days to go by quickly! I will continue to update with more wedding info. Since we are getting down to the wire, there is lots more to update on the wedding!

Shelly: What a great weekend!
This weekend Keaton and I had a wonderful time. We got our pictures taken for our Save the Dates! (pictures to come soon). We did that on Saturday morning and it was a blast. Keaton was a goof ball as always, and it made it tons of fun! :]
After work, we went on a double date with our favorite couple, Jbray and Kara! We picked them up, and we all went out to eat at Cafe Paesan! Yum! It's like Cafe Rio, but for Italian food.
We wanted to go see a movie at the dollar theater, but we had a bunch of time until then, so we decided to walk around The Riverwoods! We went into a toy/candy store called Blickenstaff's. Needless to say, Jbray and Keaton had WAY too much fun...boys will be boys...
We were all craving something really sweet...and I had the genius idea for us to go to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory...BEST caramel apples ever! We each got our own and they were fantastic.
On Sunday, I decided to make a big dinner. I was just in the mood to cook! So I made grilled chicken, broccoli and green beans, scalloped potatoes, and biscuits! I also baked whole grain brownies. Mmmm. They were delicious!
We ended up figuring out that we didn't get the condo that we waited three weeks to hear from! It was an anxious three weeks, but the housing search is back on! We are searching and hoping to find a place where we can be happy and start our family together. Ready to get married!

I figured that Shelly did an update so I better as well.
Lets see, Shelly forgot to mention that we saw the Avengers movie! Unfortunately we didn't go to the midnight showing or dress up or anything (though we saw a little captain america that was like 2 years old.. awesome) Anyway, I had to catch shelly up on the movies, she had seen the iron man movies and I took her to Thor about a year ago so I figured that captain america was the only one we really needed to watch. (I just explained who the hulk was to her). when we watched captain america Shelly was hesitant at first but about halfway through she was totally invested, I knew I had found a catch. The next afternoon we were so excited from watching captain america that we had to see the Avengers. It was the Friday afternoon it came out (thursday night was the midnight showing). Luckily I got of work early and we were able to go. I think it changed shelly's life forever. We both loved the movie and various time we caught ourselves cheering and clapping with the audience. Needless to say we will probably see it again in the near future.
We went to vernal for Mother's day and my mom's birthday. I got her the game "BOPit" because she is pretty much the queen at it. On her second try she beat the game! yeah she is pretty awesome. It was also mine and Shelly's Anniversary. May 11th, 2011 we went from make-out partners to "boyfriend and girlfriend". That was a fast year! I'm excited to see what the future holds.
Also in Vernal we played with my dog and worked with the sheep. we did a procedure called "docking" the sheep. (we basically cut off the long tails of the lambs and make the boys... well.. not very manly anymore :) Shelly grew attached to a little lamb who's mother didn't want him anymore and he was an only lamb child. Luckily for us we were able to lock the mother and child together in the field and she eventually took him back. (wonder if that would work with humans?) We were both happy that the lamb survived, though I think Shelly secretly wanted to bring the lamb home with us.
Well that is my take on the recent events, only like 3 months and a few weeks left til the big day! what am i going to wear? ..

Shelly: A Life Update.
Sorry we haven't updated in a while, we have both been so busy! So here is an update of what has been going on lately:
Keaton and I met with his cousin Haley Paz about flowers. She is amazing. She did my Valentine's Day bouquet and it was beautiful! We decided on a couple flower ideas, but are mostly giving her the creative edge on what she would like to do. I am really excited for how my bouquet will look, I'm sure it will be beautiful.
We also started looking at apartments and furniture. There are a couple options and we are so grateful that we have a budget big enough to have a really nice place! We found a place and we are in love with it. We should figure out within the next week if we were able to get it! (That update will hopefully come soon!)
Dates keep the romance alive, so we go on dates constantly! A really fun date we went on recently was dinner at Texas Roadhouse and glow mini-golfing at Trafalga! We both had a blast and I beat Keaton (of course). It is always fun to go on our Friday night dates.
I go home to San Diego soon for my bridal shower! I am extremely excited to not only see everyone but to have Keaton get to hang out with my family more. My mom has been so supportive, and has helped Susie Greer and Tori Reilly plan this amazing day! It will be on June 9th. So excited.
My one last update for the night, I BOUGHT MY WEDDING DRESS! It's beautiful. I am absolutely happy with it. I bought my dress from The Perfect Dress in Cottonwood Heights. It was a great experience and my dress will be made modest very soon. I can't wait. I will give you all one hint at my wedding dress. But that's it! So here it is...

| It was dark, but I had to try to get a picture anyways! :] |
I have been working at Wilson Diamonds for about 6 months now and finally have business cards! Since I got about 500 cards, they asked whether I wanted my maiden name on them or my new name, because 500 will last well through September. I decided to go with both. It was weird being able to see my new name in writing, but it just made me more excited for the wedding to come!

Shelly: We booked the venue!
So, my mom came out this weekend and we spent the whole time doing a lot of wedding activities. On Thursday, she got in and Keaton and I picked her up. We went and got dinner at PF Changs! Yum. After dinner, I decided that I wanted to show my mom around Little America and Grand America. She loved them both! We walked around and looked at the rooms at the Grand America and she was freaking out the whole time. It was a good evening. The next morning, my mom and I went on a power walk around Provo, looking at some good options for married housing and some good areas to live. Afterwards, we went to Wilson Diamonds to pick up my paycheck and for her to meet my work family. Then, we drove to Salt Lake! We got up there, checked into the hotel, and ran into Keaton's parents. It was their first time meeting my mom and I was so nervous! We got up to the room, got settled, and then headed over to the Grand America with Lisa. Keaton met us over there and then we met with our wedding coordinator, Nicole! She showed us around the rooms, and we picked one! It was definitely our favorite and it's extremely extravagant! We booked the venue! We went out to a lovely dinner with the Jolleys and we were able to have some good bonding time afterwards.
The next morning we woke up early and Lisa, my mom, and I all went dress shopping. We went to two different places and it was great to get more ideas and have such valuable opinions on each dress! I now know what I want more, and want to do a custom dress. We got back and were able to hang out more with Keaton's parents. I love his family so much and I cannot wait to be a part of it.
Sunday was a complete day of relaxation and then my mom left Monday morning. I dropped off the contract to the Grand America on the way home and it's all set.
September 1st, 2012 I will get to marry my best friend.

Keaton: Critique of Shelly's Engaged Story
Ok here we go, All of you know how amazing I am at blogging and video podcasting (http://thejolleyman.blogspot.com/) #humblebrag. Needless to say those videos were like 2 years ago. No judging.
Today I have taken it upon myself to make sure Shelly's story of our engagement is accurate. Let us begin...
So, Keaton and I got engaged on February 18th, 2012! Here is exactly how it went...True
"We had decided to celebrate Valentine's Day the weekend after, because we had both been working on the 14th". So far so good.
"So, we planned to go to the temple on that Saturday after work! Keaton picked me up from my apartment and we drove to Salt Lake." Quick side note I had always planned to do it the weekend after Valentines up in Salt Lake but I didn't know how to get her up there. She suggested we go up there so I just went with it. Inception much?
We parked at the Conference Center and went to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. We had a great time, and I always love going to the temple with Keaton. I bought a brand new dress for dinner, (I actually combed my hair) so I got ready in the temple for our dinner. We went to The Roof restaurant in temple square, at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building. It was an amazing dinner with a fantastic view of the temple! I love it! (Me too) Since it's a buffet, we both stuffed ourselves to the rim! He kept quizzing me all throughout dinner on important things that happened around temple square. And once we were done with dinner, we decided to walk around. (More like roll around after all the food I ate)
Cute Picture of us. With empty plates.
I guess he had multiple places picked out to propose,(Yes) and I kept ruining them.(Yes)
The first was cobblestone, and since I was wearing heels, I couldn't really walk on it. (No the First one was directly east of that but there was a bunch of people there) So then we went to another spot, where I got really bad hiccups for about 5 minutes. (I hadn't actually planned this spot and I didn't really like it so good thing she got the hiccups) Then we began walking towards the temple, and Keaton said a "that's what she said" joke, so he definitely couldn't propose right after that. (I didn't mean to but it was a funny joke. I also wasn't planning to do it there either. There was another walkway I had thought of but people were playing tag on it.) We began walking back to the Conference Center,(I had actually planned to do it by the fountain right there but there was a weird couple looking at it. Yes looking at the fountain.) and he started walking in the opposite direction of where we parked. (By then all my spots had been used up and I was just trying to come up with spots on the fly. I knew I couldn't get into the car without asking her to marry me) So, logically, I told him he was going the wrong way, and started to walk the other direction. He said my name, so I turned around, and he was getting down on one knee.(I tried to awkwardly kiss her first but I said her name and it was just weird. Needless to say I was a wee bit nervous) I said "Are you kidding me??" I was really excited and couldn't believe it. He assured me that he wasn't kidding, and I asked "Are you serious?" a few more times, before he asked me to marry him. I said of course, and he kissed me! Never been so happy!(I haven't either :)
I picked out my ring on the Monday after, and we bought it! Here's a picture of the ring!
(Cut to picture of my empty wallet)
