Keaton: Critique of Shelly's Engaged Story

Ok here we go, All of you know how amazing I am at blogging and video podcasting (http://thejolleyman.blogspot.com/) #humblebrag. Needless to say those videos were like 2 years ago. No judging.

Today I have taken it upon myself to make sure Shelly's story of our engagement is accurate. Let us begin...

So, Keaton and I got engaged on February 18th, 2012! Here is exactly how it went...True
"We had decided to celebrate Valentine's Day the weekend after, because we had both been working on the 14th". So far so good.
"So, we planned to go to the temple on that Saturday after work! Keaton picked me up from my apartment and we drove to Salt Lake."  Quick side note I had always planned to do it the weekend after Valentines up in Salt Lake but I didn't know how to get her up there. She suggested we go up there so I just went with it. Inception much?
We parked at the Conference Center and went to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. We had a great time, and I always love going to the temple with Keaton. I bought a brand new dress for dinner, (I actually combed my hair) so I got ready in the temple for our dinner. We went to The Roof restaurant in temple square, at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building. It was an amazing dinner with a fantastic view of the temple! I love it! (Me too) Since it's a buffet, we both stuffed ourselves to the rim! He kept quizzing me all throughout dinner on important things that happened around temple square. And once we were done with dinner, we decided to walk around. (More like roll around after all the food I ate)

Cute Picture of us. With empty plates.

I guess he had multiple places picked out to propose,(Yes) and I kept ruining them.(Yes)
The first was cobblestone, and since I was wearing heels, I couldn't really walk on it. (No the First one was directly east of that but there was a bunch of people there) So then we went to another spot, where I got really bad hiccups for about 5 minutes. (I hadn't actually planned this spot and I didn't really like it so good thing she got the hiccups) Then we began walking towards the temple, and Keaton said a "that's what she said" joke, so he definitely couldn't propose right after that. (I didn't mean to but it was a funny joke. I also wasn't planning to do it there either. There was another walkway I had thought of but people were playing tag on it.) We began walking back to the Conference Center,(I had actually planned to do it by the fountain right there but there was a weird couple looking at it. Yes looking at the fountain.) and he started walking in the opposite direction of where we parked. (By then all my spots had been used up and I was just trying to come up with spots on the fly. I knew I couldn't get into the car without asking her to marry me) So, logically, I told him he was going the wrong way, and started to walk the other direction. He said my name, so I turned around, and he was getting down on one knee.(I tried to awkwardly kiss her first but I said her name and it was just weird. Needless to say I was a wee bit nervous) I said "Are you kidding me??" I was really excited and couldn't believe it. He assured me that he wasn't kidding, and I asked "Are you serious?" a few more times, before he asked me to marry him. I said of course, and he kissed me! Never been so happy!(I haven't either :)

I picked out my ring on the Monday after, and we bought it! Here's a picture of the ring!

(Cut to picture of my empty wallet)

The End. -Keaton
